A Bernedoodle is one of the greatest breeds ever devised and is perfect for most families. Bernedoodles crave attention and love to cuddle for hours. They enjoy nothing more than being with their family and being petted or groomed. Mini Bernedoodles are the most popular size of Bernedoodle. They get between 30 and 45 lbs, with the females being on the smaller side.

The Bernedoodle is a cross between the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle. This hybrid fuses the virtues of its parent breeds – the cleverness of the poodle and the loyalty of the Bernese—making it a perfect companion. They come in a variety of colors and sizes, with the most popular being the standard tricolor (brown, black, and white). Most Bernedoodles are “low to non-shedding,” making them perfect for people with allergies. Bernedoodles are playful and affectionate – they do well with children, and they love to spend time with their families. Due to the "hybrid vigor" of the Bernedoodle, they are far less apt to inherit genetic and congenital diseases.

The Bernese Mountain Dog

The Bernese Mountain Dog has an easygoing nature and extreme loyalty. They are completely dedicated to their families. They are so loyal that it can be difficult to re-home an adult Berner and break its original bond. Berners are known for leaning on people to soak up all attention. Berners are beautiful dogs with their distinct tri-colored coats. Originally bred in the Swiss Alps as farm dogs that pulled carts or drove cattle to market, the Bernese loves cold weather, and has a double coat that sheds quite heavily. It’s an intelligent, strong dog that has a moderate need for exercise. A significant number of Bernese are afflicted with hip and elbow dysplasia, or succumb to cancer, heart disease, or epilepsy in middle age. While cancer is the leading cause of death for dogs in general, Bernese have a much higher rate of fatal cancer than other breeds. These dogs take time to train as some can be stubborn. It is very important to socialize them from a young age as they can become skittish if this is not done properly. They are, overall, a great family dog.

The Poodle

The Poodle is one of the smartest dog breeds. They also possess a “low to non-shedding” coat, making Poodles a great choice for people with allergies. Poodles are the clowns of the dog world; they have been used in circus acts for many years. The Poodle is believed to have originated as a water retriever, in Germany. Most people think of the poodle as a "prissy" breed, but this is not the case.

Poodles come in three sizes (toy, miniature, and standard) and a wide variety of colors. Where most dogs have double coats, poodles have a single layer coat of dense, curly fur that sheds minimally but does mat without proper care.  A typical Poodle is lively and playful, with a bouncy prance to its walk. It thrives best in a busy household where it can get plenty of attention and stimulation.

Many breeds can be found on My Pup Central. The Bernedoodle is an extremely popular breed and the Mini Bernedoodle is by far the preferred size of Bernedoodle.
